About District

Vav-Tharad district is a district of Gujarat, India. It is located on the eastern side of the Rann of Kutch and borders the southern side of the Rajasthan State. Its headquarters is at the city of Tharad.

Vav-Tharad was carved out from the existing Banaskantha district on a 2 October 2025, making the newly existing thirty-fourth district of the Gujarat state of India.
